Today, the kindergarten kids had a few minutes after the Grade Ones went to Guided Reading to try to create complicated patterns.

Then the kindergarten kids continued their exploration of syllables. We created a syllable sorting mat and then said the name of different objects to determine how many syllables each word had. Then we put them in the right place on the syllable mat. This is something that you can continue to explore at home. We use our hands and arms to help us count the syllables. Ask your child to show you!
(There's one more syllable photo at the end of this post....I don't know how it ended up there!)
We had our second gymnastics class today. 2 friends from our class demonstrated the last two rotations and then we had a chance to try them out.
