Weekly Wrap Up

Well, here I am again, lumping a bunch of days together. I hope you enjoy the photos and have a chance to chat with your child about their time at school....

look at this!

Yesterday we hung our ornaments on Gerry's tree.

Today we spent a few minutes doing a simple little craft...The kids brought them home to help decorate your homes this weekend. (We've been reading LOTS of Gingerbread men stories lately), this was really just peeling the back off of stickers and putting them on the gingerbread people, but the kids loved it!

We also did some good writing and drawing today, we played tag games in gym and a fun follow the leader train, we worked on number recognition and have been doing "splat math". If you have some time, google "splat math" and there are activities that you can practice at home, quick recognition of arrangements of dots (number recognition) and then a little more work to determine how many are under the splat. We've been doing it at school and talking about the math strategies that are involved.

Have a  great weekend!

I will be sending an email home on Monday with confirmed times for the Jingle walk(s) and confirming volunteers. At this point, we have a lot of people available on the Friday and only a couple on the Monday. If any of you are able to drive along beside us on the Monday, to collect the bags of food and bring them back to the school, please let me know!
