I didn't manage to take many photos during the Jingle Walk pick up on Monday because it was pouring with rain! The kids were amazing and the parent helpers (Rocky, Nicole, Ashley, and Laura) were wonderfully helpful! Scroll down to see all the food that was collected.
In the mornings this week, we are meeting in the open area with the other classes and singing Christmas/Holiday songs together. Kids are invited to the front to play some instruments while we all sing.
Here's a look at the front hallway, full of donations for the Harvest House food bank from our Jingle walk. The Harvest House came and collected the donations today and had to do it in two trips because their van was too full to just take one load! That is so amazing! Way to go Brooksbank!
Yesterday, we met in the gym to watch a band and choir concert.
This morning, during our singing time, one of our staff members, Mrs. Desmarais, taught us more about Hanukkah. She brought in her menorahs and some dreidels and lit the candles while we sang.
Tomorrow, we make gingerbread houses. Please remember to send in some candies and icing. We will also be walking to Sutherland tomorrow to watch their choir sing. Please dress your child for the weather. If you are able to walk with us, we will be leaving the school at 10:40 and returning to school at 12:10.
Gingerbread houses will be made between 2:00 and 3:00. Please come and join us if you wish!
