Friday Forest Fun

Here are a few pictures from yesterday. The Kindergarten kids taught "Tenzi" to the grade ones and then played together.

Our Honour Guard greeting the audience for the Remembrance Day Assembly.

A little look at the assembly, I know it's dark...but I just wanted to give you a little peek!

One of our classmates read us a story yesterday!

Check out this tower during grade one choosing time!

It was so tall we had to get a step ladder.

And we had to watch as it grew! Quite a crowd formed to watch the tower.

What a lovely piece of artwork

Halloween is over, now it's time for snowmen!

and hearts.

Today, we took a walk to the forest. We are going to begin outdoor learning soon and wanted to have a "free play" day in the forest to learn about boundaries and the space. The kids did a fantastic job of staying where they were supposed to and moving safely within the space, and we had a lot of fun!

We also continued to talk about what Peace means to each of us. We drew pictures to show our thinking and some of us did some writing too.

Here's a little look at Grade 1 Choosing time that happens on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Have a great long weekend with your families. We will see you again on Tuesday.
