Phew, What a Busy Week

We started the week with a visit from Stephanie from Loutet Garden. We learned about the parts of a plant and then thought about what we would grow in our garden if we had the chance to plant plants. We had to think about what kinds of things grow well here.

On Tuesday, while the Grade ones were at Guided Reading, we had another Guided Reading group join the Kindergarten kids and they read stories.

We had a pink shirt assembly on Wednesday. Some of the grade 7 students presented.

The kindergarten kids worked together in teams on Thursday to put the alphabet in order. Then we took turns pointing to the letters and singing the ABC song.

On Thursday, we had a visit from Amira from the Sierra Club. We learned about the seasons and spent some time looking at some exploration tables. Then we went outside for a scavenger hunt and a game.

We added cards to the seasonal calendar.

Today, we visited the Grade 5 classrooms to take a look at their simple machine projects. They were so impressive!

We got together with Ms Meule's class and did some buddy reading and an action break and a game outside.

Have a great weekend!
