We had some wonderful guest singers yesterday morning. Two parents from our class came to school and played and sang holiday songs with the whole open area. We loved it!
We got up and danced.
We did some actions.
We played some instruments.
It was the most wonderful way to start our day!
After recess, we walked up to Sutherland and listened to their choir sing. Then, we sang a song for them too.
(sorry, not sure why this photo is turned)
Then in the afternoon, we decorated gingerbread houses.
Thanks especially to Tammy for spending the afternoon with us, icing and cleaning and helping!
Please look in your child's backpack today for the gift that he or she made for your family.
A little light table fun this afternoon.
I am sending EVERYTHING from our coat hooks home to be "refreshed" for the new year.
We are also saying goodbye today to a member of our class. One of our friends is returning with her family to Brazil. She has been such a wonderful part of our class and we will miss her terribly! We wish her and her family a safe journey and best of luck as they settle back home. (We also hope she keeps in touch with us).
It has been a whirlwind 2 weeks, so many special events. I just wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you for all that you have done to help make these events a success. These kids are so lucky to have such supportive families, and I am equally lucky to get to spend my year with you.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the gifts and kind cards I have received. Thank you!
I wish you all the best of the holiday season and I hope that your days are filled with family and fun.
